God’s Not Dead 2

With each passing day, the name of Jesus is welcomed less and less in the public square. If Christians don’t take a stand today, will we even have the choice tomorrow? Coming to theaters April 1, GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the powerful movie God’s Not Dead. When a Christian teacher is asked an honest question about Jesus in her public school classroom, her reasoned response lands her in deep trouble. As the principal and superintendent join forces with a zealous civil liberties group, her epic court case could expel God from the classroom—and the public square—once and for all! Be part of the Christian movie event of the year: GOD’S NOT DEAD 2, in theaters beginning Friday, April 1. Make the most of this inspiring and challenging movie by taking your family on opening weekend and encouraging other homeschool families to attend with you. The question is: Where Will YOU Stand?

Ridgeland, S.C. Pirates, Privateers and Buccaneers of the Carolinas,  a traveling exhibit of the South Carolina State Museum, will make patrons avast (that’s stop in pirate lingo) and gasp as the world of pirates comes alive at the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage from March 3, 2016 to July 16, 2016.  Featuring the story of Blackbeard and many other pirates, the exhibit will thrill those who are fascinated by these desperadoes of the sea.  It will dispel a number of popular myths and also address the problem of modern piracy, dismissing the myth that pirates disappeared a long time ago.  The Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage is open 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday.  Admission is free.
